5th #Afternoon@Nūn with Curandera Camila Martinez

Only two days after the 4th #Afternoon@Nūn Nūn Art Gallery organised the 5th #Afternoon@Nūn with Camila Martinez on the equinox.

Camila Martinez is a curandera, a traditional native doctor, holding the tradition of healing with sacred mushrooms. She has a graduate degree in Ayurvedic and Tibetan Medicine and is an international sustainability consultant, filmmaker, author, poet and artist.

Initially, Camila performed a purifying ceremony with copal, a resin from the copal tree used by the indigenous peoples of Mexico. Then artist Brian Flynn read the introduction chapters of her book The Mushroom Doctor - The Wisdom Way of the Feminine Shaman, and afterwards, Camila read several chapters giving us deep insights into traditional native healings.
