Nesreen Abd El Halim
Contemporary Egyptian artist Nesreen Abd El Halim
Nesreen Abd El Halim is an animated film director and visual artist born in Cairo in 1985. She earned a bachelor and pre-master's degree from the High Institute of Cinema at the Animation Films Directing Section of the Academy of Arts in Cairo.
Nesreen directed several animation films, some together with children. Furthermore, she creates paintings using various materials including oil colours, acrylic and watercolours.
Nesreen Abd El Halim participated in many film festivals and art exhibitions and won a vast number of awards. She wasn't only invited to many TV programs to talk about her works but also works as an anchor in the children program of the Egyptian TV Channel 2. Besides that, she regularly conducts workshops for children at many different places and teaches them how to draw as well as how to make an animated movie.

Artist Nesreen Abd El Halim about "Playing Card":
"It is known that the girl's paper in the kuchina (card game) has two completely similar faces. It symbolises the Queen, meaning mother and humanity, and is abbreviated by the letter Q. However, I changed the woman’s face in the painting to the face of the contemporary woman in two different ways as a guide to different cultures. But in the end, she is a woman, and no matter how different the two sides are they are known in the kuchina as being one."

- Since June 2015: Teacher for drawing and making animated movies for children in the Russian Cultural Center, Language Department, Cairo
- Since February 2015: Teacher for drawing and making animated movies for children at the El Sawy Culture Wheel, Cairo
- 1/7/2008 – 1/7/2013: Animation director at the Innovation Studio Company
