Artist Galina Lenskaya at the opening of the "Daughters of Hathor" International Exhibition at Nūn Art Gallery in January 2022

Galina Lenskaya is a contemporary Russian artist born in 1978. She studied at a classical art school when she was a child but then had a large gap in drawing. After she moved to Hurghada, Egypt in 2001 she took back her passion for drawing and attended many online art courses from famous artists in different art techniques until she understood that her heart belongs to watercolours. She says:

"I love its flow, I love that it can be unpredictable and that it always surprises the artist during painting. I based an own art school and give lessons on classical drawing to young artists as I’m convinced that classical academic drawing is key to all professional art techniques. I’m trying to show my students that beauty is around us and one can be inspired by very simple things such as sunlight and shadows, common life scenery and things that surround us."
