Ashraf Abo Elmagd

Contemporary Egyptian artist Ashraf Abo Elmagd with two of his artworks at the Ganubiyat exhibition at the Nūn Art Gallery 2021

Ashraf Abo Elmagd was born in Luxor in 1970 and lives in Aswan. The multi-talented self-taught artist, who appreciates fine arts in general, loves the Nubian heritage and the Egyptian countryside landscapes. His painting style changes between realistic, abstract and surrealistic art. He also produces sculptures, decoration and 3D works.

Ashraf participated in many local and national exhibitions, solo exhibitions as well as group exhibitions. Within the frame of cultural exchange between Egypt and Belgium, he attended an exhibition in Belgium in 2019 and obtained a certificate of appreciation. His works are part of many private collections and can be seen at Cairo's Museum of Modern Art.
