Nūn Art Gallery • About Us
Nūn Art Gallery is a unique art gallery for contemporary art based in Luxor, Egypt. Founded in February 2020 and jointly managed by Sayed Qinawi and Claudia Ali, it is devoted to showcasing the brilliant visual artworks of Egyptian artists and non-Egyptians living in Egypt. Thereby, supporting new talents is as crucially relevant as promoting established artists.
Nūn Art Gallery regularly organises both group and solo art exhibitions as well as art events, which get out of line by connecting artists for outstanding projects. Thus, the gallery became a much-appreciated dynamic hub for the art-loving community of locals and ex-pats, not least because of the art space's invitingly charming atmosphere.
Our Motto
Our Vision
Luxor is famous for its antiquities, and that's the main reason for tourists to visit it - until now. Our vision is that Luxor also becomes renowned for its contemporary art scene and attracts art lovers as well as art collectors. Since 2020, three galleries for contemporary art have opened on the west bank, including us. We work constantly and passionately on this vision by organising art events and workshops, networking with institutes like the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor and artists's studios. Despite a forced Corona break of 9 months since our foundation in February 2020, we organised 14 exhibitions and 8 other art events connecting more than 60 artists until April 2022.
Our Team
Art director Sayed Qinawy, the creator and co-founder of the Nūn Art Gallery, was also the creator, co-founder and manager of the Gallery Symbolique in Luxor and the
Luxor Art Gallery. Nūn Art Gallery benefits from his profound knowledge of the art scene of Luxor in particular and Egypt in general.
